2. How The Shelf Works
2.1 Our Role
-
Physical Retail Space: We provide a shared retail environment where tenants (e.g., micro-artists, small brands) can rent shelf space to display and sell their products.
-
Platform for Tenants: The Site also serves as a platform to showcase our services, pricing, and general information about renting shelf space.
2.2 No Guarantees
We do not guarantee specific sales or profitability results to any tenant. Our role is to offer a curated space and basic support as described on our Site. Final outcomes depend on factors like product appeal, marketing, pricing, and footfall.
3. Tenants
3.1 Tenant Responsibilities
-
Accurate Information: Tenants must ensure all details provided during the application or rental process (including product descriptions, pricing, and personal details) are accurate and up to date.
-
Insurance: Tenants are responsible for insuring their own merchandise and for any risks typically covered by occupants of retail premises (unless otherwise stated in a separate written agreement).
-
Compliance: Tenants agree to comply with any rules or guidelines for the physical premises, including opening hours, health and safety regulations, or other conditions set by The Shelf.
-
Product Suitability: Tenants are solely responsible for ensuring their products are safe, legal, and meet all regulatory requirements.
3.2 Rent and Payments
Any fees or rental payments due for shelf space must be paid as outlined in our separate tenancy or rental agreement. Tenants should not bypass our payment system without our prior written consent.
3.3 Cancellation Policy
Any cancellation or refund terms will be clearly stated in your rental agreement or on our Site. If not explicitly stated, all fees are non-refundable once the space is secured, barring special circumstances at our sole discretion.
